Quilt Basics In-Person Class
This class is for anyone who wants to learn to make quilts or sharpen their sewing skills.
Skills covered include: cutting, pressing, piecing (getting the perfect 1/4” seam), common quilt techniques like half square triangles and flying geese, trimming, borders, and binding. After this 6-week class, you will have a completed small quilting project (shown here).
If you have a sewing machine and basic supplies - bring them. If not, there are machines available to use in class. Class size is limited to allow individual attention.
New session starts May 1st.

Class requirements:
No sewing experience is required, but if you do have a sewing machine, please bring it. It's best to learn on a machine that you will be using.

You will need the following fabrics:
1/2 yard each of 5 fabrics. (or 3/4 yard each to allow for some oopsies)
1/3 yard (12") binding fabric
1 1/4 yard for backing
Neutral thread
Additional items to bring if you have them: 6 1/2" square ruler, rotary cutter
Cutting mats, Ironing pads, irons, pins, seam rippers are are available in the classroom along with Brother sewing machines for use in class, if needed.
