2025 Spice of Life

The Spice of Life Quilt (shown above) is made using a variety of Creative Grids Templates.

Come to the monthly Block Party Class, use the featured Creative Grids template and classroom sewing machines to make a 12” block with an included pre-cut fabric kit. You don’t have to bring anything!! Fabric kits will be offered in different colors. (If you have the template that is being featured that month, yes, please bring it with you!)

The Spice of Life quilt is based on 3”, 6”, 9”and 12” Blocks. You will receive additional patterns to make more blocks in these sizes (as the template allows).

At the end of the year, you will have twelve completed 12” blocks from the Block Party classes. You can add to these blocks using the supplied patterns to create your own Spice of Life Quilt, or put them together into their own 12-block quilt.

You must register for the entire 12-month series for $195.
This includes:

• pre-cut fabric kits each month

• use of classroom sewing machines and supplies

• complete in-person, hands-on template instruction

• color patterns utilizing the template

• access to online instructional videos to help you more blocks on your own

• patterns for additional blocks to create your own Spice of Life Quilt.

Classes will typically last 1-2 hours.

Online Class Option

Each month there will be "Sew with Me" Block Party Videos showing step-by-step directions using the templates to make each 12" Block. Download the pattern, cut your fabrics, and sew along with me to make each block.

This is the perfect choice if:

You wish to use your own fabrics
You babysit, work, or don't drive and can't make it to the scheduled classes
You prefer to sew in the comforts of your own sewing room
You have mobility/health issues
Classes are full

If you would like to participate in the Block Party online - there is a one-time cost of $60 (just $5 per Block Party!). Includes online "Sew with Me" video access and all the patterns available to download to make the blocks for the Spice of Life Quilt. Patterns and videos are available online the last Tuesday of each month.
